On November 7, 2025, Ueda, the Head of Legal at Orange Inc., served as a panelist at the networking event “SkyDeck x Japanese Community: Connect, Collaborate, Innovate,”. The event was held in Berkeley, California, and hosted by Berkeley SkyDeck—one of the world’s leading startup accelerators at the University of California, Berkeley.Ueda, an alumnus of UC Berkeley’s LL.M. program, has been actively involved as a mentor and advisor in multiple initiatives bridging the U.S. and Japanese innovation ecosystems, including Berkeley SkyDeck.The event focused on connecting the Japanese and U.S. entrepreneurial ecosystems, bringing together founders from various Japan-based startups alongside a global network of investors, advisors, and entrepreneurs.During the panel discussion, Ueda joined entrepreneurs and university affiliates from the SkyDeck community to share practical insights on global expansion strategies for Japanese startups.
