Orange Inc. exhibited at Global Startup EXPO 2025, held at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai on September 17–18. We introduced our manga app, "emaqi,"–launched in North America, as well as our proprietary manga-focused localization system.Among approximately 150 exhibitors, Orange was also selected as one of only 18 startups to present at Startup Showcase, a pitch event for international investors. During the session, the company addressed challenges facing the manga industry—such as the proliferation of piracy—and presented the potential of a cross-publisher platform delivering officially translated versions to readers worldwide. The presentation provided a valuable opportunity to receive direct feedback from numerous overseas investors.Global Startup EXPO 2025 brought together deep-tech startups, investors, universities, research institutions, and corporations from around the world with the shared goal of tackling global challenges through innovation. Partnering with major publishers, "emaqi" offers one of the world’s largest libraries of officially translated versions, accelerating the global distribution of legitimate editions.We also introduced its proprietary localization system, developed with advanced deep-learning models by top AI engineers. This technology-driven approach aims to help build a healthy and sustainable ecosystem in an industry where piracy remains a serious challenge.■Government Officials Visit the Orange BoothDuring the event, former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Minister for Economic Revitalization Akazawa, and other government officials and Diet members visited our booth. They expressed strong support for our efforts, acknowledging that the spread of piracy is a serious national concern and voicing expectations for the role of technology in addressing it.In addition to the general public, many venture capitalists and corporate investment representatives visited the booth.
